DIY Wreath

Hobby Lobby had all of their flowers 50% off this week, so I decided that it was a good time to make a wreath.
Materials:
Grapevine wreath $2.49
Rose $2.49
Filler $1.99
Feathers $2.99
Total: $10
You will either need wire cutters or patience. I had no wire cutters so I had to bend the wire back and forth until it broke. It really didn't take long to do it that way. Once the wire on the rose is broken (leave about 4 inches of wire) tuck it in the wreath so it will stay.
The filler I got was basically a bunch of wires placed together with brown floral tape wrapped around it. The paper tore easily, but the wires didn't end at the same spot. I just taped them together and tucked them around the rose. I then broke off some of my feathers and stuck one on each side of the rose.
And there you go!

The Reason For This Blog

I am creating this blog to try and help people save money. I have been sharing on Facebook some of the deals that I've gotten, and decided that this would be a better way to help others get the same deals. My friend Kati and southernsavers.com get credit for my "Couponing Skills." Kati introduced me to the website, and without it I would be spending more money and getting less. I started couponing only about three months ago. I did use coupons some before then, but wasn't nearly as successful. Since then, I've saved over $400 and almost always save over 50%. There were only about two times that I saved less.
I also make a lot of my own cleaners now. I found the recipes on different websites and from a book called "Naturally Clean." They are WAY cheaper than buying them, work just as well, and don't have any harmful chemicals. I was hesitant about this at first because I thought it would be more effort than it's worth, but so far, nothing has been more difficult than pouring a few ingredients into a bottle and shaking. But don't worry. I'll share some of the recipes.
I hope this sums up what this blog is intended to be. If anyone has any questions about this blog, couponing, etc. just leave a comment or message me and I will be glad to help as much as I can!
